The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company. Within Wells Fargo Compliance, the Enterprise Testing team is responsible for the development and design of methodologies and standards for review activities across the Enterprise in alignment with the Risk Management Framework, and ensuring effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs, risks, and controls according to standards and other applicable policies. This is for two positions on the Data & Analytics team. The positions will work as lead analyst, subject matter expert consultant, and dedicated resource to the testing team that executes control testing and validation of regulatory issues of Wholesale Line of Business. This will be accomplished by engaging with the testing leads on the controls being tested as well as participating in business process walkthroughs providing insight, standardization, and recommendations on execution of data needs. Specific Job Responsibilities: Provide data support within designated support team Work with risk professionals on testing strategy Consult in developing, implementing, and reporting testing strategy from a data and analytics perspective for control activity reviews Source of data from systems of records, Work with technology partners on data sources Partner with other members of the Data & Analytics teams to pull data samples for the control testing In-depth deep dive into data to capture and provide a more accurate, comprehensive and easier to use set of data for the related testing efforts Providing direction and guidance, helping our business partners have a clearer and more insightful understanding of the analysis, underlying systems and end result output. Requirements gathering, solution design and report development, as well as application overviews and training Support the design and development of complex queries. Includes prototyping new approaches to demonstrate target state views, as well as designing and developing short-term solutions to support immediate business needs Required Qualifications 8 years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 5 years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling Desired Qualifications Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem solving techniques Ability to summarize and recommend new strategies/solutions Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements Knowledge and understanding of operational risk management in the financial services industry Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills 6 years of SQL experience Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Other Desired Qualifications Ability to foster relationships and effectively collaborate with peers, internal partners and key stakeholders Experience in Audit, Compliance, Risk and Testing Critical Thinking and Analytical skills Job Expectations Ability to travel up to 5% of the time Disclaimer All offers for employment with Wells Fargo are contingent upon the candidate having successfully completed a criminal background check.
