The Institutional Review Board (IRB) Analyst works independently and as a team member to make determinations compliant with various laws, regulations, guidance and policies governing the work of the MCHS IRB to assist in ensuring the organizations compliance and the human research participants rights, safety and welfare are protected. The individual evaluates, interprets, analyzes and ensures timely submissions for committees and boards while coordinating and assisting in the preparation of communications related to the submissions. The IRB Analyst serves as a system administrator, educator and trainer to various internal and external individuals in the use of an electronic submission and review system.
_For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation._
**Minimum Required:** Associate degree in a business, communication, information technology or related field.
**Preferred/Optional:** Bachelors degree in a business, communication, information technology or related field.
**Minimum Required:** Two years experience in Institutional Review Board Administration, clinical research, research compliance, other human subjects protection related job or equivalent. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and web-based applications.
**Preferred/Optional:** Experience working with reading, interpreting and implementing regulations. Demonstrated proficiency with attention to detail, accuracy, managing multiply priorities and effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

**Minimum Required:** None
**Preferred/Optional:** Certified Institutional Review Board Professional (CIP) certification awarded by the Council for Certification of IRB Professionals (CCIP) and/or Certified in Healthcare Research Compliance (CHRC) certification awarded by the Health Care Compliance Association Certification Board
