RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client building a team of Accessibility Engineers in Wilmington, Delaware (DE).


Overview:
The Electronic Communications Accessibility Team is seeking a knowledgeable and resourceful Accessibility Lead to collaborate with development teams. The optimal candidate will not only be able to demonstrate their knowledge and sensitivity to the access needs of people with disabilities, but also their experience and strong command of web technologies (HTML5/ARIA/CSS/JS) and their interactions with assistive technology and standards.

Responsibilities:
* Responsible for identifying and suggesting potential solutions for accessibility barriers based on the W3C WCAG 2.0 standards as well as compliance with the ADA, Section 508, the Twenty-First Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act, and other accessibility related laws
* Apply accessibility knowledge to a wide range of the firm's digital properties including, but not limited to websites, mobile applications, responsive hybrids and digital documents
* Bring a depth of development and technical knowledge which will complement and strengthen an already dynamic, seasoned group of accessibility professionals
* Mentor and coach other Accessibility Leads on accessible engineering and provide input to our accessibility training and standards team

REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience in developing accessible digital products and web content
* Experience with Assistive Technology (e.g. screen readers, magnifiers, alternative input, etc.)
* Experience with tools such as Jaws, A-Tester-Checker, A11Y Compliance Platform-Checker-CSS, 508 Checker, AATT (Automated Accessibility Testing Tool), Access Valida Tu Sitio, Accessibility Management Platform (AMP) Viewer, Accessible Color Evaluator/email, Accessing-Lint-Monitor, Ace, AChecker, aDesigner, Acrobat XI, AInspector Sidebar, Amaze, ARIA Validator, Asqatasun, ATbar, aXe, callas pdfGoHTML, Chrome Lens, CKSource, Color Chek, Colour Contrast Determinator, CommonLook, Compliance Sheriff, COMPLYFirst, Cynthia Says, DaSilva,Document Accessibility Toolbar (DAT), DYNO Mapper, WCAG 2.0 Linter, GUI508, HERA-FFX, IBM DAP, LFi, MAUVE, etc.
* Advanced knowledge of core web technologies: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
* Broad knowledge of accessibility barriers as well as the tools and techniques
* Deep knowledge of cross-platform and browser compatibility issues
* Knowledge of accessibility standards: WCAG 2.0, ADA Section 508, 21st Century Video and Communications Act; Knowledge of International laws is a plus
* Accessibility on various platforms including Windows and MacOS
* Mobile accessibility on various platforms including Android and IOS
* Video and other digital media
* Ability to act in both an accessibility consultant and web engineering role
