Job Description

To implement and maintain an integrated and iterative approach to development, focusing on user interface (UI) development. The DevOps Engineer manages service delivery and website/systems reliability and scalability including: reporting, configuration and build, testing, planning, and deployment of solutions and will be accountable for all aspects of deployment and technical operations including technical project resources (partners/subcontractors or staff), scheduling, risk management, internal and external communications, status reporting, and resource management (internal and partners), reporting to the DevOps Manager. This person must be able to coordinate well between a variety of vendors and technical experts. This is not a network infrastructure/management position except those which relate to the applications that Fugro USA Marine Inc. relies on to operate.

Job Responsibilities:

* Work directly with the DevOps team to develop applications as required by the business.
* Participate in defining common development standards (coding guidelines, UI and testing frameworks).
* Design and implement web-based user interfaces for business applications.
* UI test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning.
* Handle code deployments in all environments.
* Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve.
* Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations.
* Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve development delivery.
* Consult with peers for feedback during testing stages.
* Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards.
* Maintain day-to-day administration of projects.
* Manage CI and CD tools with team.
* Document and design various processes; update existing processes.
* Improve infrastructure development and application development.
* Follow all best practices and procedures as established by company and industry.



Job Requirements:

* 4+ years of Software Development/DevOps Engineer or related experience with gradually increasing responsibilities and a demonstrated understanding of DevOps and technical quality control processes, artifacts and tools.
* 2+ years previous experience in development and operations, or related IT, computer, or operations field
* Previous experience with software development, infrastructure development, or development and operations
* Experience with ASP.NET/C# Framework, Angular Framework, REST/WebAPI2, database SQL (MS SQL), CI/CD tools, scripting such as JavaScript, PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, .NET, Scrum/Kanban, Agile workflow methodologies
* Up-to-date on latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently
* Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
* Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
* Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills
* Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work, both personally and at a team level
