As a Software Development Intern for the SIMULIA PowerDELTA development team, you will gain exposure and assist in developing geometry pre-processing tools for the flagship product. You will work with other talented team members to analyze software defects, write software programs, help with software builds and packaging, and integrate third party solutions.
This is a paid internship spanning from January to June 2020 and based in the Dassault Systèmes Americas headquarters located at 175 Wyman St, Waltham, MA.

What will your role be?
Your activities will include, but will not be limited to, working with the PowerDELTA development team in:
Developing ideas to prepare geometry for Computational Fluid Dynamics Simulations Preparing design documents to translate ideas into software functionalities
Developing software programs to implement functionalities into user friendly software
Analyzing software defects discovered in existing and newly developed functionalities
Interacting with Quality Assurance and Product Management teams to deliver robust product
The Challenges ahead
Learn to work in a very fast paced environment, handling multiple tasks and assignments
Learn to develop commercial grade software in a highly proficient team environment utilizing state of the art software developments procedures and programming languages
Interact with numerous teams dedicated to multiple branches of software development, quality assurance, product management and product deployment with a common purpose of providing high quality solutions for complex Computational Fluid Dynamics problems
Your Key Success Factors
Actively enrolled in a Master’s or PhD Degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or an equivalent field for the duration of the internship
Minimum GPA 3.0
Work onsite at the Dassault Systemes Waltham office
Strong programming skills, preferably in C++, with good understanding of the intricacies of software design, architecture and development platforms
Good understanding of geometry and CAD/CAE concepts, underlying mathematics and vector algebra
Strong communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
