The Enterprise Transaction Platform (ETP) team s applications are Java based and use Java, Spring and Hibernate to provide services to handle pricing, billing and customer-contact related operations. This team owns a plethora of SOAP and RESTful webservices and uses Java Messaging services that are used by many other IT teams within the company. Due to the high volume of challenging requests, availability of services is the key goal for the ETP team. The team has been successful in achieving this goal by focusing on code quality, code coverage and performance. You would be joining an energetic, high performing team that has a reputation for successful releases and reliable services.Technology Stack/Methodologies:
We re looking for developers with the following skills, or the ability to learn to work within our technology stack and methodologies.
5+ years active Java development experience using Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate, JQuery, SOAP Web Services, REST Web Services, Maven, GitHub, Junit, Mockito, Continuous Integration Tools (Jenkins) and Hands on experience with application servers like Tomcat and WebLogic
5+ years Oracle database developer experience and database design
Strong SQL skills, ability to quickly read and understand very complex SQL/Procedure/Functions
Working proficiency in developmental toolsets like IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, Spring Tools Suite (STS)
Expertise through all parts of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in developing web applications using Java and Spring framework
Expertise in analysis, design, development, testing and maintenance of large scale enterprise applications.
Should have Good grasping and Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
Experience with Agile Methodologies, SCRUM and Kanban processes
Experience/understanding of business process reengineering and business modeling concepts, business systems development and analysisResponsibilities:
Provide senior-level analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and support of applications and databases.
Ensure projects go through our SDLC from development, to test, and into production environments on schedule.
Read specifications and provide feedback on areas needing more detail or questions that need to be answered in order for development to begin.
Write, design, code, test, implement, debug, and validate applications; document design decisions and develop modular software components; monitor system performance metrics, and identify potential risks/issues.
Provide off-hours support as part of a rotation with other developers.
Provide active mentorship/guidance to fellow members of the agile tech team and participate in internal and external technology conference & communities.
Collaborate in agile scrum team with product owners/BAs and fellow software engineers to deliver upon most important business and technical priorities.
Create easy to understand technical documentation for projects completed.
Understand the larger picture related to the business/technology strategy, and helps to guide all aspects of application development in that direction.
