As a part of the US Consumer Digital (USCD) organization, the Head of Paid Media will be responsible for driving execution, collaborating on strategy, and driving profitable new card, bank, and mortgage accounts through affiliate partner development search marketing, and display advertising. Additionally, this person will be responsible for oversight and management of external agencies and internal teams (staff of 6), partner development (affiliates, search engines, and DSP's),and cross channel integration. The role will also be a key driver of cross team work initiatives that include digital analytics, test & learn, martech, risk and product related initiatives.

The Head of Paid Media role will interface with external partners relevant to the new channel opportunities to drive innovation across line of businesses. The candidate will be responsible for identifying and supporting new marketing channel opportunities, assessing resource/execution needs to bring these opportunities to market, tracking performance and communicating results to senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Strong digital marketing background (10 + years experience), with acquisition experience highly valued
  • Previous work within Financial Services or with an agency preferred
  • Preferred candidate with have hands on working experience optimizing directly within Search Engines, working within bid management tools, and working within automated bidding environments.
  • Experience with programmatic ad buying, strong working knowledge of DSP's, and DMP's
  • Experience working within the affiliate or partnership space, with a focus on scaling and providing growth to a program
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
  • Strong sense of accountability and decisiveness in strong work ethic
  • Strong communicator
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize, and rive results with a high sense of urgency
  • Analytic mindset and knowledge of test and learn best practices
  • Superior relationship management skills
  • Excellent strategic thinking ability
  • Strong ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Managing multiple projects across several agency and vendor partners, with the keen ability to facilitate projects to meet deadlines
  • An ability to make independent decisions, but a willingness to value and incorporate differing viewpoints into decision making
  • Proactively looking for ways to improve existing processes to drive efficiencies
  • A keen sense of curiosity and willingness to ask questions that can drive positive change
  • Effective agency and budget management experience
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
