This position is responsible for performing various duties on a construction site as directed by the Site Manager.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Position may involve performing other duties as required, which may not be mentioned below. Specific functions may change from time to time.

Perform general labor duties such as spotting trucks, use of hand tools (shovel, rake, post hole digger etc.), installing silt fence, sweeping and mopping trailer floor, cleaning work area and using small equipment.
*May flag vehicles in and out of the construction site.
*May wash trucks.
*Learn, follow, and promote all safety regulations of Charah and its customers.
*Communicate clearly, listen and understand information through spoken words and sentences to ensure full comprehension of job duties, safety regulations, and other situations that may require an immediate response.
*May require night, weekend, holiday, and/or overtime work based on the site's operations schedule.
Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Climb. Ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized.
Balance. Maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling and walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
Reach. Extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Walk. Move about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or move from one work site to another.
Grasp. Apply pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
Feel. Perceive attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
Talk. Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.
Hear. Perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without corrections. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
Medium Work. Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 1- pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Have visually acuity to operate motor vehicles.
Be exposed to environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
Be subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.

This position requires working in the internal and external environment.
This position requires a flexible work schedule; night and/or weekends may be required.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
At least one year experience working in a construction environment.
Working knowledge of mechanical equipment.
General knowledge of construction site and equipment.
A valid drivers license.
Ability to obtain DOT required flag person certification.
Previous work-related skill, knowledge, and/or experience are required.
