What You Will Do TheAscension Medical Group President, Wisconsin Marketwillprovideleadershipandguidancein thedevelopment,operationalizationandcontinualimprovementofaClinicallyIntegratedSystemofCare intheMinistryMarket.Keytothiseffortwillbetheformationofahighperformingandintegratedmedicalgroupwhichunitesacommunityofprovidersthroughacommonculturethatfostersperson-centered care as the centralprinciple. Leads transformation of practices including adoption of information systems and electronichealth records that result in efficient workflow while enhancing provider satisfaction andpatientexperience Leads efforts to create a culture of quality and safety consistent with a highly reliableorganization Develops a provider leadership structure aligned with the national Ascension MedicalGroup structure that brings physician leaders together to discuss issues, challenges, andopportunities impacting theirpractices. Identifies, develops and empowers physician leadership talent. Develops physician leadershipby creating a culture and organizational designed to ensure development of physicianleadersincluding preparation of the next generation ofleaders Leads performance management efforts to include cascading performanceexpectations throughout the medical group in accordance with Ascension ??s AIM forExcellence Enhancestheabilityofthemedicalgrouptobettermanagecareinanincreasinglyconstrained resource environment, all the while ensuring exceptional operationaloutcomes. Providesongoingeducationtomedicalstaffleadershipregardingadministrative,regulatoryand legal issues that surround healthcare reform and the evolving medical care paradigm at thestate and nationallevel. Serves as a role model for collaborative behavior across ministry wide functions and championanatmosphere of collaboration that fosters significant transformation of healthcaredelivery. Provides highly visible and approachable leadership to the organization enhancing the espritde corps among all disciplines andassociates EDUCATION ANDEXPERIENCE Medicaldegreerequired.Master ??sdegreeinhealthcareadministration,publichealth,publicpolicy or relevant fieldpreferred. 10+ years of demonstrated outcome-oriented experience. 5+ years of experience in medicalgroup leadership, population health, clinical integration and market development with agrowth orientation. Experience in a matrixed leadership environment ispreferred. A strong commitment to the mission of Catholic healthcare and a personal andprofessionalpresence to provide leadership on behalf of Ascension; a values-driven, authentic leadershipstylewhich is guided in thinking, in acting, a sensitivity to the mission and core values ofAscension. Demonstratedstrategicbusinessorientation,withanunderstandingofthefuturedirectionof healthcare delivery and reimbursement; the ability to motivate and engage others arounda common vision in response to suchchanges. Experience building integrated systems of care and engaging physician leaders around metricsto include clinical excellence; growth; and physician, patient, and associatesatisfaction. Demonstratedabilitytogainphysiciansupportandtrustwhendeveloping,implementing,and promoting projects, ventures and programs in a shared leadership environment. Ability toforge highly collaborative and effective partnerships across theorganization. Demonstrated experience in providing leadership to clinical quality improvement initiativeswithinmulti-site systems; knowledge of clinical quality and compliance processes and systems.An understandingofthestrategicimpactofinformationtechnologyonthequalityanddeliveryofcare. Experience working within complex operational businesses. Ability to partner with finance andother functionstoestablishreliablebusinessplanningprocesseswillbeessential.Abilitytodeliverstrategic priorities. Ability to recognize the importance of a multi-disciplinary team effort and the use of dataand metrics in enhancingperformance. Track record of profit and loss responsibility for clinicalservices. Exposure to service-line strategies and operations and a dyad model of management thatpairsadministrators and physicians in achieving accountability for process change and enhancedclinicaleffectiveness. The ability to introduce change, where appropriate, in a manner which is cognizant ofthe organizational, environmental, personal, political, fiscal and technological implicationsassociated withchange. Superb communication, facilitation, negotiation, and listening skills, accompanied by the abilityto know how and when to influence, persuade, direct, challenge, and relinquishcontrol.
