Human Resource Generalist

We are currently hiring at the above level within the organization. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a particular focus on attention to detail and impeccable service standards.

  • Onboarding new employees, new hire paperwork, benefits enrollment, change processing and tracking;
  • Process background checks including, but not limited to I-9 verifications and as part of the onboarding process;
  • Input the necessary employee and benefit information into HRIS and payroll and vendor systems
  • Administer various employee benefit programs such as group medical, dental, vision and life insurance; long and short term disability plans; EAP, FSA s, HSA s, Transit, Dependent and 401(k).
  • Preparing payroll, timely and accurate semi-monthly processing of multi-office payroll for both exempt and non-exempt employees
  • Process/transmit files to third party vend
  • Administer general ledger entries of payroll and benefit related expenses, reconciliation of payroll, payroll tax to vendor invoices, and reconciliation of G/L and accounts related to the administration of payroll.
  • Assist employees with benefit related questions and issues, including submittal of claims, and interpretation or clarification of EOB statements
  • Coordinate the annual open enrollment process (cost analysis/benefit design formularies, recommendations for change, on-going communications, packages from vendors, and updating HR. Works directly with vendors to develop positive working relationships while negotiating to control costs
  • Ensure compliance with local, state and federal tax regulations and company policies
  • Partner with human resources to ensure all payroll transactions are authorized and in compliance with company policies and procedur
  • Maintain HRIS database and all HR records by updating and entering data including new hires and any changes to employee personal information
  • Employee contact for pay, benefits and related questions
  • Perform special projects and assignments are required.
  • Applicant must possess:
  • 3-4 years of benefits and payroll administration experience is preferred in multi state/jurisdiction company
  • Bachelor s degree in the field of accounting, finance or business along with 3 years of work experience.
  • Certification(s) Preferred: SHRM-SCP, Professional in Human Resources SHRM-CP
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office
  • HRIS software experience necessary
  • Solid interpersonal skills re Must be adaptable and resilient to different personalities
  • Strong analytical, task and detail oriented skills. Attention to detail is critica
  • Must be able to maintain payroll and related data in the strictest of confidence
  • Strong problem-solving skil Should be able to identify and resolves problems in a timely manner, while gathering and analyzing information skillfully.
  • Strong adaptability skil Should be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Able to work well independently and maintain confidentiality at a high level.
  • Strong experience in benefit plan administration, including insurance,
  • 401(K) and assisting with design and deployment of benefits programs
